AFAA has emerged as a prestigious platform that recognizes and honors excellence in the ecosystem. Through the AFAA Foundation, Kingsley Amako has also championed numerous initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, capacity building by nurturing talents and empowering African emerging fashion and art entrepreneurs.
Born out of passion for creatives to be appreciated, rewarded and recognized. Kingsley has always believed in the transformative power of fashion and art to unite nations and showcase Africa’s rich cultural tapestry to the world. His initiatives have not only elevated African fashion and art onto the global stage but have also inspired a new generation of creative thinkers and entrepreneurs. His unwavering dedication to promoting African creativity underscores his belief in the transformative power of creativity as a catalyst for socio-economic development and cultural diplomacy.

AFAA attracts a diverse audience, including players in the various creative industries. The event provides a platform for networking, partnerships, trade, education, collaborations and exposure to new trends and innovations in several other sectors like Technology and Tourism with a proven track record of success, with each year surpassing expectations on participation, attendance, media coverage, and industry impact.
Established in 2021, followed by a successful creative industries engagement in Durban Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The following year, in 2022, we were in Cairo, Egypt. There after, an amazing AFAA annual award ceremony at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Abuja where we introduced the AFAA Shopping and vendor’s festival in partnership with the FCTA, that took place at the FCTA Arts and Culture Exhibition Pavilion Centre with over 100 vendors to achieve our vision of creating a market place where creativity and trade meets. Moving forward to 2023, we organised media engagement and conferences within East Africa in countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Additionally, we conducted a successful Masterclass and Mentorship Symposium in Abuja, accompanied by the AFAA shopping festival and art exhibition, in a three (3) days event during the annual AFAA Award ceremony.
AFAA is endorsed by relevant government agencies and organisations, with new subsidiaries introduced in the organisation and ready to swing into action. Excitedly, we recognized African Fashion and Arts personalities in 2024 during the AFAA annual ceremony at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC), Cape Town, South Africa. Born out of passion and commitment, AFAA has established
presence and representation in 4 out of the 5 Zones in the continent.
We look forward to engaging with fashion and art creatives in Central Africa, United Kingdom, Europe, and America in the coming years.
